Choosing a Magic Mixies refill pack comes down to the toy already in your home and whether you want more mist or fresh spell play. I rank the Genie Lamp Mist Refill first for its substantial supply and clear, dedicated fit; the Crystal Ball and Cauldron Mist Refill is the most flexible pick for households with either compatible toy; and the Mist and Spells Refill suits owners who want new activities as well as mist. The tradeoff is straightforward: the mist-only packs promise over 80 misting moments, while the spell kit offers two spell experiences and more than 20 mist reveals. None is a universal refill, so matching the pack to the exact toy matters more than choosing by contents alone.

Key Takeaways
- For Genie Lamp owners: The dedicated Genie Lamp pack offers two vials and over 80 misting moments, but it is not described as compatible with the Cauldron or Crystal Ball.
- For compatible-toy flexibility: The Crystal Ball and Cauldron pack also supplies two vials and over 80 misting moments, with stated compatibility for both toys.
- For renewed play: The Cauldron Mist and Spells pack includes ingredients for a Wishing Spell and a Luck Spell, but provides 20+ rather than 80+ mist reveals.
- Compatibility comes first: Each choice depends on having the matching Magic Mixies toy; the refill packs do not include the main toy.
- Best pick depends on the goal: Choose mist-only when you want repeated reveals, or the spell kit when new spell steps matter more than maximum mist capacity.

Magic Mixies Magical Mist Refill Pack for Genie Lamp
I put this pack first for buyers whose playset is specifically the Magic Mixies Genie Lamp. It is purpose-matched, simple to understand, and supplies over 80 misting moments from two refill vials. That makes it the clearest choice when the goal is to keep the lamp’s mist effect going rather than add a different spell activity. The manual operation also means there are no batteries to replace for the refill itself.
Compared with the Crystal Ball and Cauldron Mist Refill, this one has a narrower stated fit: it is for the Genie Lamp, while that other mist pack names two compatible toys. If you own the Genie Lamp, that limitation is less of a concern than buying a broader pack that may not list your toy. Against the Cauldron Mist and Spells Refill, this is the better match for repeated misting, but it does not include the Wishing and Luck Spell ingredients that make the latter feel like a fresh activity.
The key drawback is that it is not presented as a cross-compatible refill. I would check the toy name before ordering, especially if your home has multiple Magic Mixies sets. This is a focused replenishment choice, not a general-purpose Magic Mixies accessory. Its two-vial format and stated mist capacity make it the strongest all-around pick for the owner of the named lamp, while other toy owners should choose a pack that explicitly lists their set.
Pros:- Provides over 80 misting moments according to the product description.
- Includes two refill vials for replenishing the Genie Lamp.
- No batteries are required for the manual refill.
- Comes with an instruction manual.
Cons:- Compatibility is specifically stated for the Genie Lamp.
- Adds mist rather than new spell activities.
- The Genie Lamp itself is not included.
Best for: Magic Mixies Genie Lamp owners who want a straightforward mist refill with over 80 stated misting moments.
Not ideal for: Owners of a Magic Cauldron or Crystal Ball who need a refill explicitly listed for those toys, or buyers seeking new spell ingredients.
- Compatible toy:Magic Mixies Genie Lamp
- Mist capacity:Over 80 misting moments
- Included:Two refill vials and instruction manual
- Mist ingredient:Vegetable glycerin
- Operation:Manual
- Batteries required:No
- Age range:5–15 years
- Materials:LDPE, polypropylene copolymer, paper, and vegetable glycerin
Our verdict“For Genie Lamp households, I rank this first because it combines a clear toy match with two vials and over 80 stated misting moments.”
Magic Mixies Magical Mist Refill Pack for Crystal Ball and Cauldron
This is my pick when the household owns a Magic Mixies Crystal Ball or Magic Cauldron and wants a mist-only refill that names both products as compatible. Like the Genie Lamp pack, it includes two vials and over 80 misting moments, so the main distinction is not stated capacity but toy fit. That broader listed compatibility gives this pack a practical advantage for families whose collection includes either of the two named playsets.
Compared with the Genie Lamp refill, this option does not cover the Genie Lamp in its compatibility details, so I would not assume it works there. Its advantage is the pair of Crystal Ball and Cauldron matches, not universal compatibility. Compared with the Cauldron Mist and Spells refill, this one is better suited to repeating the mist effect; the spell pack offers new themed steps, but its stated mist capacity is more than 20 reveals rather than over 80.
The tradeoff is that this pack does not introduce new spells or other play ingredients. It is a replenishment product, and the Crystal Ball and Cauldron are sold separately. Check which exact toy you have before buying, since the shared brand name does not by itself establish compatibility with every Magic Mixies set. For an owner of either listed toy who wants more mist moments without adding a new activity, this is the most flexible match in the lineup.
Pros:- Lists compatibility with both the Crystal Ball and Cauldron.
- Includes two mist refill vials.
- Provides over 80 misting moments according to the description.
- Includes an instruction manual and vegetable glycerin.
Cons:- The Crystal Ball and Cauldron are sold separately.
- Does not add the two spells included with the Cauldron spell refill.
- Compatibility with the Genie Lamp is not stated.
Best for: Owners of the Magic Mixies Crystal Ball or Cauldron who want a two-vial refill with over 80 stated misting moments.
Not ideal for: Genie Lamp owners, buyers who want new spell play, or anyone expecting the Crystal Ball or Cauldron to be included.
- Compatible toys:Magic Mixies Crystal Ball and Magic Cauldron
- Mist capacity:Over 80 misting moments
- Included:Two mist refill vials and instruction manual
- Mist ingredient:Vegetable glycerin
- Recommended age:5–15 years
- Unit count:Two
- Item weight:0.02 kg
- Dimensions:1.42 x 3.11 x 0.83 inches
Our verdict“I recommend this to Crystal Ball or Cauldron owners who prioritize repeated mist play and want one refill option listed for either toy.”
Magic Mixies Magical Mist and Spells Refill Pack for Magic Cauldron
This pack serves a different purpose from the two mist-only refills: it adds ingredients for a Wishing Spell and a Luck Spell, along with more than 20 mist reveals. I rank it third for broad refill appeal, not because it lacks play value, but because buyers seeking the highest stated mist capacity get more from either two-vial mist pack. For a Cauldron owner whose child wants new steps and themed ingredients, though, this is the most activity-focused option in the group.
The contents include a mix of spell materials and instructions, such as dissolvable papers, fluid gel, foam powder, molded fizz pieces, popping crystals, soap paper, and spell books. That variety changes the purchase from simply restoring mist into refreshing the spell-making sequence. Compared with the Genie Lamp and Crystal Ball/Cauldron mist refills, it offers more kinds of play material but fewer stated mist reveals. It is also narrower in fit: the product is specified for the Magic Mixies Magic Cauldron.
I would skip it if mist capacity is the main goal, or if the child does not have the compatible Cauldron. The Cauldron is sold separately, and the supplied product information lists no manufacturer warranty. Those limitations matter for a refill purchase: the toy must already be on hand, and the added ingredients are useful only if the child wants to perform the included spells. For Cauldron owners choosing between more mist and renewed spell play, this pack makes the tradeoff explicit.
Pros:- Includes ingredients for a Wishing Spell and a Luck Spell.
- Provides more than 20 mist reveals.
- Includes varied spell ingredients and instructions.
- Adds new activity steps beyond a mist-only refill.
Cons:- Requires the Magic Mixies Magic Cauldron, sold separately.
- Its stated mist capacity is lower than the 80+ moments offered by the mist-only packs.
- The listed product information specifies no manufacturer warranty.
Best for: Magic Mixies Magic Cauldron owners who want ingredients for two spells and a more involved play session.
Not ideal for: Buyers focused on maximizing misting moments, owners of the Genie Lamp or Crystal Ball, or households without the Cauldron.
- Compatible toy:Magic Mixies Magic Cauldron
- Included spells:Wishing Spell and Luck Spell
- Mist reveals:More than 20
- Included components:Bottle, spell ingredients, spell books, and instruction manual
- Operation:Manual
- Recommended age:5–15 years
- Number of players:1+
- Warranty:No manufacturer warranty listed
Our verdict“I would choose this Cauldron-only pack when new spell activities matter more than getting the largest stated supply of mist.”
How We Picked
I ranked these three packs by the questions that matter most to a refill buyer: which toy it fits, what kind of play it renews, and how much mist it provides. A refill that does not match the toy is no practical value to its owner, so I treated stated compatibility as the first filter rather than assuming Magic Mixies products work across the range.
Next, I compared mist capacity and included activities. Both mist-only packs state that they provide over 80 misting moments, while the Cauldron spells pack adds two named spells and more than 20 mist reveals. Those are different kinds of value: one favors repeated mist effects, and the other adds a more involved play sequence. I also considered whether the contents make the pack easier to use as a replenishment purchase, such as the inclusion of two vials, ingredients, or an instruction manual.
The ranking reflects those differences, not a claim that every buyer needs the same refill. The Genie Lamp pack leads as a focused refill for its named toy; the Crystal Ball and Cauldron option ranks close behind because its stated compatibility covers two products; and the spell kit is a strong alternative for a different purpose, but is less suitable when a household mainly wants the largest stated supply of mist. I did not infer compatibility beyond the product information, and I do not treat any pack as a substitute for the separately sold toy.

Factors to Consider When Choosing Magic Mixies Refill Pack
I would start with the toy model, then decide whether the goal is repeated mist or a new spell activity. The products share the Magic Mixies name, but their stated compatibility and contents are not interchangeable.Match the refill to the toy you own
Check the name on the original playset or its instructions before choosing. The Genie Lamp refill is listed for the Genie Lamp. The Crystal Ball and Cauldron refill names both of those toys. The Mist and Spells pack is for the Magic Cauldron. These descriptions do not establish that any pack works with every Magic Mixies product, so I would not buy based on brand alone. If the toy is not named as compatible, confirm the fit with the manufacturer or product details before opening the refill.
Decide between mist capacity and new activities
If the child mainly wants to repeat the mist effect, either two-vial mist pack lists over 80 misting moments. The Genie Lamp version serves its named lamp, while the Crystal Ball and Cauldron version lists two compatible toys. For a Cauldron owner who wants more than repeated mist, the spell refill supplies ingredients for a Wishing Spell and Luck Spell, with more than 20 mist reveals. The tradeoff is less stated mist capacity in exchange for more varied play steps.
Check what is included—and what is not
Each listing describes a refill rather than a complete playset. The main toy is sold separately, so the pack will not replace a missing Genie Lamp, Crystal Ball, or Cauldron. The mist-only products include two vials and an instruction manual. The spell set contains multiple ingredients and spell instructions, which may better suit a child who enjoys preparing and performing a sequence. Consider the child’s preferred play style: repeated reveal effects or a fresh recipe-like activity.
Use age and handling details as a final check
The listed age range for these packs is 5–15 years, but an adult may still want to review the instructions and supervise younger children during setup. The Genie Lamp pack lists manual operation and no battery requirement, and the other refill descriptions also present the play as manual. Follow the pack’s directions for filling and handling its materials; the product descriptions do not specify that the refill contents can be substituted with household liquids or mixed with other products. Keep the original instructions with the refill for later use.
Choose based on how many toys are in the household
For one Genie Lamp, the dedicated pack is the direct choice. If the household has a Crystal Ball or Cauldron, the dual-compatible mist refill offers the clearest stated flexibility across those two toys. A Cauldron owner who wants spell variety can choose the spell kit instead. I would not treat the two mist refills as interchangeable simply because their capacities are similar: their named toy compatibility differs, and that distinction should guide the final decision.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which Magic Mixies refill pack has the most stated misting moments?
The Genie Lamp Mist Refill and the Crystal Ball and Cauldron Mist Refill each state that they provide over 80 misting moments. The Mist and Spells refill for the Cauldron states more than 20 mist reveals, while also including ingredients for two spells. Choose between the two 80-plus options by checking which toy you own, rather than by capacity alone.
Are the Genie Lamp and Crystal Ball/Cauldron refills interchangeable?
The product information lists the Genie Lamp refill for the Genie Lamp, while the other mist refill lists the Crystal Ball and Magic Cauldron. It does not say that these packs are interchangeable across all toys. I would follow the compatibility named for each product and check the toy’s instructions if your set is not clearly identified.
Does the Magic Cauldron spell refill include the Cauldron?
No. The Mist and Spells refill is a supply of ingredients for the Magic Mixies Magic Cauldron, and the Cauldron is sold separately. It includes materials for a Wishing Spell and a Luck Spell, as well as more than 20 mist reveals. Buy it only if the compatible Cauldron is already available or will be purchased separately.
Which refill is best if a child wants something beyond mist?
The Mist and Spells Refill for Magic Cauldron is the activity-focused choice because it includes ingredients for two spells and instructions. The Genie Lamp and Crystal Ball/Cauldron packs focus on replenishing mist and list over 80 misting moments each. The spell kit gives up some stated mist capacity in return for more themed steps, so it suits a Cauldron owner who enjoys making spells.
Do any of these refill packs require batteries?
The Genie Lamp refill is listed as manual with no batteries required. The Cauldron spells pack also lists manual operation, and the other mist refill is supplied as vials for its compatible toys. These packs are refills rather than powered playsets; check the original toy’s instructions for any battery needs associated with the toy itself.
Conclusion
I would choose the Genie Lamp Mist Refill for a Genie Lamp owner who wants a straightforward supply of repeated mist effects. For a home with a Crystal Ball or Magic Cauldron, the dual-compatible mist pack is the strongest fit, provided the toy matches its stated compatibility. If the child already has a Cauldron and wants new play steps, I would pick the Mist and Spells Refill instead of prioritizing the largest mist count. These are three different solutions to a refill need: match the toy first, then choose between more mist and more spell play.
